this has been building for a while so here’s the highlights…
1. i’m not voting for anyone, regardless of party, if they’re part of the richest 1% of america. the 1% have proven, time and again that they’re not actually representing us in washington and haven’t been for quite some time. according to this news article, 57 members of congress are in the 1%! that figure belies the whole concept of a functioning democracy; these richies just spend all day making sure no one touches their bags of money. i’m drawing a line, i won’t vote for a one-percenter in 2012.
2. remember when newt gingrich and the g.o.p. impeached clinton for his moral indiscretions? and now that newt is the g.o.p. front runner no one cares about his multiple failed marriages and his affair that was going on during the clinton impeachment itself? remember how his first wife was his high school teacher (yikes!) and how they’d fool around in the back seat of his car when he was 16? it’s only fair that if newt gets elected president, we impeach him for having an affair while his wife at the time battled multiple sclerosis.
3. gays aren’t ruining america rick perry: the band from the freecreditreport dot com commercials are.
4. do christmas if you want. or don’t. last i checked, freedom was a pretty big deal here in america. it seems silly to me that so many americans demand that Muslims, Buddhists, Jews and Hindus celebrate the birth of Christ. let’s be mad at anyone who says “happy holidays!” - that will prove to them the real meaning of Christmas and help them see what they’re missing out on. the nerve of some people to live in our country and have their own customs, religions and not assimilate to ours! god bless the united states of assimilation.
5. i like immigrants from mexico and central america and actually everywhere. illegal or not, if you’re willing to work and contribute to make our country better, i welcome you. maybe in fifty years mexico will be a safer, better place to live and everyone from detroit will be caught sneaking across the border to find jobs.
